It’s a done deal, ladies. George Clooney is officially off the market! By now, the whole world has heard about George exchanging vows with British power attorney Amal Alamuddin in a star-studded wedding in Venice, Italy this past weekend. Here are 5 of the biggest highlights from the glitzy extravaganza.

Before we get to the list – Please do note that this info is coming to you first-hand because I actually attended the wedding. Ok, so maybe I wasn’t “technically” there (minor detail), but I was fully present in spirit via the nosebleed section in my Atlanta living room – whatever – lol.

  • Go Big or Go Home: The couple exchanged vows at the super luxurious seven-star hotel, Aman Canal Grande Venice, surrounded by 100 of their closest friends and family. Yikes! Am I the only one that didn’t know seven-star hotels exist?! Yep, I just made an update to that very long bucket list of mine – lol.
  • Two Times the Charm: Although the wedding took place on Saturday, George and Amal actually made it “legal” on Monday. Here are the details from Us Weekly: “The handsome actor, 53, and his British barrister wife, 36, said, “I do” for the second time on Monday, Sept. 29, this time at Venice’s Palazzo Ca’ Loredan, an official council building where a civil ceremony was conducted in accordance with Italy’s laws.”
  • Haute Couture Reigns: Amal’s wedding gown, an off-the-shoulder stunner made with French lace and pearls, was designed by none other than Oscar de la Renta! George looked extra dapper in Giorgio Armani. Check out a sneak peek of the beaming bride and groom here, via People Magazine.
  • A-List Oasis: Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, Bono, Anna Wintour, Emily Blunt, and Bill Murray were a few of the notables on hand to celebrate the special occasion. However, there are two names conspicuously missing from this list…hmmm…which brings me to my next point…
  • No Brangelina: Ok, leave it to me to bring everything back to my favorite celebrity couple, Brangelina. William Bradley Pitt (I just love saying his whole name) and his new bride, Angelina Jolie, were not present at the nuptials. Perhaps they had a scheduling conflict since the Pitts are rumored to be filming a new movie together in Malta. I guess it’s safe to say Brad didn’t serve as George’s best man after all.

What do you think is next up for George and Amal?
