Oops, she did it again! In today’s edition of “Gwyneth Paltrow said WHAT?!”This time, the A-list starlet received criticism for recent comments during a speech where she compared the experience of reading negative internet comments about herself to the ‘dehumanizing’ experience of war – literally.

Here is an excerpt of what UsMagazine.com report on the story:

Indeed, Paltrow has been a frequent target for so-called haters throughout her two decades in the spotlight.

“You come across [online comments] about yourself and about your friends, and it’s a very dehumanizing thing,” the actress, whose inner circle includes Cameron Diaz and Beyoncé. “It’s almost like how, in war, you go through this bloody, dehumanizing thing, and then something is defined out of it. My hope is, as we get out of it, we’ll reach the next level of conscience.”

“It’s taken me a long time to get to the point where I can see these things and not take it as a personal affront and a hurt,” Paltrow told Re/code. “I see myself as a chalkboard or a whiteboard or a screen, and someone is just putting up their own projection on it.”

Come on, GP, you aren’t comparing snarky internet comments to war and combat…Are you? I think I understand what she was trying to say, but it, perhaps, came out the wrong way. It can’t be easy reading mean-spirited comments about yourself on the internet no matter who you are. I get it; but, comparing celeb plight to war is a bit of a stretch.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Gwyneth also raised eyebrows a few months back when she made interesting remarks during an interview with E! News where she said her life as a movie star mom is harder than moms working a ‘9 to 5’. On what planet?
Sigh…Nevertheless; we’ve all had foot-in-mouth moments. I know I have for sure…lol. Hopefully, people will give her a break. In order for that to happen, she has to reserve these types of comments for a private conversation among girlfriends over a good bottle of wine.
