A wise person once said, “A well-tailored suit is to women what lingerie is to men.” Hats off to all the men who take pride in their appearance. Here is our list of 6 key elements of a man’s style that captures a woman’s attention – especially after she enters her 30’s.

Tailored Suit: There’s nothing like seeing a well-groomed man in a suit that actually fits. A guy wearing a loose-fitting suit or one that’s too small will get a double take…but, for all the wrong reasons. A suit tailored to the body gives a man a refined look and has been known to turn a confident woman into a blushing school girl with one glance. A tailored look speaks to his goals and ambitions, without him saying a word. There is a misconception that a tailored suit may be unattainable or cost prohibitive. While a custom suit can get a bit pricey, an off-the-rack suit can be tailored to the body for about $100, depending on the city. It’s worth the investment to have at least one hanging in the closet for that special day.

Age-Appropriate Attire: Wearing a sports jersey, Jordan sneakers, and a baseball cap to the side (all in one outfit) may be the style for teens or young adults in their 20’s, but not for gentlemen over 30. Many women over 30 seem to agree. There is a time and place for casual athletic attire. We expect to see tons of it during a game of flag football or a pick-up game of basketball, but not on a date and definitely not during Christmas dinner lol. Wearing head to toe athletic gear should be the exception for grown men, and not the rule – just a thought.

Intact Wallet: It’s always nice to see a wallet that’s not falling apart with the contents spewing out. An intact wallet speaks to organization and attention to detail. Ladies love all of the above!

Nice Shoes: My grandfather always said it’s important for a man to invest in a few pair of nice shoes that last than spend a ton of money on cheap shoes over a lifetime. I say that’s great advice! A nice pair of shoes on a man can complete any outfit and has the magical ability of peaking a woman’s interest.

Haircut: Ok, this falls more in the ‘grooming’ category, but a haircut contributes to the overall style of a man. A nice haircut, at least every two weeks, is an absolute must. It means you’re always ready for anything – especially a last minute date with that special lady. Typically, women quickly notice and compliment a new haircut. Now, that’s a plus!

Nice Watch: A watch doesn’t have to be Cartier or have a diamond bezel for it to be nice. A standard leather or steel band with a round or rectangular face can do the trick. Just avoid anything that looks like it’s supposed to be worn in a pool or on a 7-year-old. A man wearing a watch implies ‘hustle and drive’ – both of which are qualities women appreciate and admire.

Here are a few male celebs that always seem to hit the mark when it comes to style.

Yes, the celebs pictured have tons of money and resources to dress well and buy whatever they desire, but wealth doesn’t necessarily guarantee a good sense of style. These guys have both wealth and style! Enjoy!
